These terms cover your use of the Homeprice browser extension and this website. By installing or using Homeprice you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be skipped, so they are short.

1. What Homeprice is

Homeprice is a free browser extension. It reads prices on web pages you visit and displays them in a currency you choose, together with an estimate of any tourist sales tax you might be able to reclaim.

It changes what you see. It does not change what you are charged, it does not process payments, it does not sell anything, and it is not involved in any transaction between you and a retailer.

2. Estimates are estimates

Specifically:

• Converted prices use mid-market exchange rates from public sources. The rate your bank or card actually applies will be different, usually worse, and may include fees Homeprice cannot see.
• Tax refund figures are calculated from published scheme rules and typical operator fees. They are not quotes. Actual refunds depend on the retailer, the refund operator, the paperwork being completed correctly at the point of sale, customs verification, and rules that change without notice.
• Rates can be stale. Homeprice caches rates and works offline using a bundled table. It tells you when it is doing so, but the figure on screen may not reflect the market at that moment.
• Currency detection can be wrong. Where a page does not state its currency, Homeprice infers it. It flags low confidence, but it can still be mistaken.

Nothing Homeprice displays is tax advice, financial advice, or a representation that a refund will be granted.

3. No warranty

Homeprice is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. It may contain errors, may fail to detect prices, may detect them incorrectly, and may be unavailable at times.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Homeprice. That includes purchases made in reliance on a converted price, refunds you did not receive, refunds smaller than estimated, and any indirect or consequential loss.

Homeprice is supplied free of charge. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

5. Other people's websites

Homeprice modifies how third party websites appear in your own browser, for you alone. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any retailer, refund operator, bank or website it displays prices from. Trade marks belong to their owners.

Your use of those websites remains governed by their own terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Homeprice for anything unlawful;
• redistribute a modified copy in a way that suggests it is the original;
• attempt to use it to interfere with, overload or damage any website or service.

7. Your data

Homeprice collects nothing. What that means in practice is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Changes

These terms may change as the extension changes. The date at the top will be updated, and material changes will be noted in the extension's release notes. Continuing to use Homeprice after a change means you accept the revised terms.

9. Ending it

You can stop using Homeprice at any time by removing it from your browser. That removes its stored settings along with it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
